If you’re afraid of thrill rides, then this new Magic Mountain roller coaster was made just for you. Why? It’s an absolutely tame, all-pedestrian “roller coaster.” The designers created this pedestrian experience so that even those who fear amusement rides can enjoy the views from atop the 45 meters-high “coaster.” There are 249 steps, though, so you might want to wear your walking shoes.

Those who visit the Tiger & Turtle can scale the winding walkways at their own pace.

 

The twisted staircases loop around, giving various fantastic views of the surrounding area.

 

This is just one of the many views from atop the pedestrian coaster.

 

It’s located atop the Heinrich-Hildebrand-Height in the Angerpark, overlooking the Rhine in Duisburg, Germany.

 

Approximately 120 tons of galvanized steel were used to make the Tiger & Turtle.

 

There are LED lights in the hand rails, so at night the coaster lights up.

 

Although you can’t see the surrounding areas nearly as well, the brightly lit walkways are still beautiful.

 

The area is known as one of the most rapidly changing landscapes in Europe, so each visit to the overlook could give you a different scene.

 

Then length of the walkway is approximately 200 meters.

 

You’d get your money’s worth out of of visiting this coaster…

 

Unlike normal thrill rides, which usually last about 2-3 minutes.

 

You can enjoy the coaster as long as you want (making “The Tiger & Turtle” an appropriate name). Watch out for slow walkers, though, because you could be on this giant walkway for quite a while.
