New Changes

· Written by

Hello everyone,

I have been super busy at college (UTC) and I have had little time to devote to this blog. 12 hours of difficult summer courses has not been easy!  But luckily I have less than two years left before I can finally move away (still trying to decide between NYC and Las Vegas). I am hoping that I will be able to take a semester long internship in both NYC and Las Vegas in the Summer and Fall of 2014. Fingers are crossed!

I recently took on a social media/marketing internship for a local shopping center and I have been super busy with that as well. It has really helped me continue to grow and become even more familiar with the changes that need to be made on this site. Now that my internship is over, I plan on getting back into the swing of things here on the site. I would like to update the blog on a regular basis and continue to add new and expanded content to the site. So please let me know if there is something you would like to see done!

I have also been hard at work on my YouTube channel, which is quickly approaching over 200,000 views. I am super stoked about that and I am continuing to invest in better equipment and make higher quality videos. We are ranking for some excellent keywords as well (type “Las Vegas Hotels” into YouTube and see whose video comes up first!). Over 120 videos have been created so far, with this one being my all time favorite:

Our post about why the Travel Channel Sucks has become pretty popular, as more and more people post in the comments to express their disappointment. I’m not sure which has caused more anger, the disappointment with this or the new Antarctica ride at SeaWorld (here is a great post about that, by Theme Park Insider).

And speaking of theme parks, be sure to check out our two biggest interviews: with Robert Niles (the owner of Theme Park Insider) and Ricky Brigante (the owner of Inside The Magic). Both are excellent and really help us get to know the writers of these fabulous sites.

Much more is in the works and I look forward to announcing it in the near future. Stay tuned!
