In this episode of the US City Traveler Podcast, you get to meet Dr. Ken Brown, the author of “Quiet Beauty: The Japanese Gardens of North America,” a book that profiles 26 of the most beautiful and serene Japanese Gardens of the area, offering a thought provoking look at why Japanese gardens have been part of North American culture for almost 150 years. Ken is a graduate of Yale University, a Professor of Asian Art History, and the future president of The North American Japanese Garden Association. Today he’ll be sharing everything from how these gardens differ from the original ones in Japan, to giving us tips on how to make the most out of our visits to these fabulous gardens.
