The US of A is home to some of the best zoos and aquariums in the world – pretty much every large city has a zoo and aquarium. Kids love sea life and animals, so why not bring the family along for the ride? Of course some are much better than others so here’s our favorites.
Zoos
One of my favorite zoos is actually free of charge – Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo is one of the country’s last remaining free zoos. Yet it’s a great zoo with animals such as black bears, red wolves, beavers and river otters, oh my!
Another of the countries greatest zoos is the 90-acre Columbus Zoo in Ohio. It’s directed by celebrity Jack Hanna and features its very own theme and water park. They have over 700 animal series including big cats, gorillas, elephants, and manatees.

Aquariums
The Georgia Aquarium is among others
The 14-acre New York Aquarium is the only aquarium in the NYC area. It’s located along the Coney Island boardwalk in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Other than thousands of fish you can see sharks, walruses, penguins, sea otters and fur seals.
